So big news, I just need to complete my last exam and then I’ll tackle my master thesis and then I should graduate this summer. 🎉🥳 Yeaa ~6 months left. Actually, I also need to start the thesis but that’s not the point.
A Master in Artificial Intelligence … in this economy?
Finding a master thesis in a company was HARD. So, instead of preparing my next exam, I am now stressing: will I get a job after graduation? You might have seen news like Zuckerberg annoncing AI will replace mid-level Software Engineer this is worrying. On the other end, I’ve also seen news about a manager who replaced a whole team by AI, just to open a new position days later because nothing worked.
Anyway, these are anecdotal and we will see how it plays in the long run, but I still want to see how I compare against Github Copilot, Phi4 and chatGPT O1
My plan
I’ll try solving some problems, not present in the training dataset of these LLMs. I’ll simply take some exercise from my undergrad stats class and compute the probability via simulation. I’ll check if the LLMs are able to follow, if they do mistakes and if they are able to improve their code.
